Besides the
production of chemical substances and fertilisers, the Spolana site in
Neratovice also houses the manufacturing operations of other companies. About
one-third of the site remains unused in the long term. That is why the Police
of the Czech Republic held its training in this area. Nera Agro, a company
having its business premises on the Spolona site for a long term, also
collaborated in the training. This year’s emergency training was attended by
about 100 more police officers than last year.
“We regularly organise our corporate safety and fire training on Spolana
premises to check our readiness for various emergencies. At the same time, we
also find our assistance to the Police of the Czech Republic vital by offering
them a part of our site for training purposes. Moreover, their training does
not cause any restrictions to our company operations because it takes place on
unused premises,” explained Piotr Kearney, executive director at Spolana.
The police
units held their training at Spolana also last year. “One hundred and eighty
police officers from the Central Bohemian Regional Anti-riot Unit, 120 police
officers from the Liberec Regional Anti-riot Unit, eight police officers on
horses from the Cynology and Hippology Division, ten police officers from the
Anti-conflict Team, and four police officers with drones participated in this
year’s training. The training also involved several tens of helpers,” Captain
Pavel Truxa from the Central Bohemian
Regional Police Directorate commented
on the training.
