In cooperation with the councillors of the town of
Neratovice, the ORLEN Unipetrol Group has presented projects to improve the lives
of the locals. The citizens of individual locations will choose one project to
be implemented with a financial contribution from Spolana subsidiary. The
locals may vote on the winning project until 12 May through electronic voting
at www.spolanalidem.cz or by dropping their votes in collection boxes. The
voting results will be published at the end of May. Spolana will donate CZK 1
million to implement the winning project. The ORLEN Unipetrol to People
campaign has already helped implement other projects in Most, Litvínov,
Veltrusy, and Kralupy nad Vltavou.
Inhabitants
of Neratovice can choose from the projects of acquiring exercising elements for
the seniors associated in the Seniors Club in Školní Street, rebuilding the
fountain in the square into a relaxation zone, and building a workout ground
and children’s playground in Mlékojedy behind the fire station. “I am happy
that the town’s inhabitants can decide themselves which project they like the
most and which, in their opinion, is most needed. I hope that as many of them
as possible will participate in the voting. We value the cooperation with
Spolana and look forward to a winning project,” says Roman Kroužecký, Mayor of Neratovice.
“Following the two successful campaign years aimed at supporting local
communities in other locations where we operate, we have now expanded our
support to include Neratovice as part of the Spolana to People campaign. We
want to be a good neighbour and find it essential to cement our relations with
the locals,” says Katarzyna Woś, Vice-Chair of the
Board of Directors of the ORLEN Unipetrol Group. She adds: “In the past years, we were pleasantly surprised
by the immense public interest in the ORLEN
Unipetrol to People campaign. Therefore, I believe that Neratovice inhabitants
will also be active when choosing the project to improve their environment.”
As part of
the Spolana campaign, the public decides on the choice of the most beneficial
project by voting. People can vote online at www.spolanalidem.cz, or using
collection boxes until 12 May 2023. Voting results will be published at the end
of May. ORLEN Unipetrol Group donates one million crowns to the implementation
of the winning project.
